Kid Ease Child Care Center, Inc

Kid Ease Child Care Center, Inc. (Kid Ease) is a non-profit corporation founded by employees of CalEPA. 

Kid Ease's responsibilities:

Kid Ease is governed by a Board of Directors. The officers and directors of Kid Ease are all volunteer; no one receives any salary or compensation. The board meets the second Tuesday of each month to identify facility needs and conduct fundraising activities to support the operation of the child care center. The Board is elected by the membership annually for one-year terms.

CalEPA Child Care Center

The CalEPA child care center is located on the ground floor of the CalEPA building, and can accommodate 60 infants/toddlers/children. The center has 4,200 sq. ft. of indoor space and 4,800 sq. ft. of outdoor space, 1,420 sq. ft. area for infants and 3,380 sq. ft. area for preschool children. The outdoor play area is designed to utilize nature and recycled and natural materials as much as possible. Yard layout and materials include sandboxes; hard paving and soft flooring for wheeled vehicles; play structures; toddler planting garden boxes; drinking fountains, etc. There is a white curbed passenger loading zone on the I Street side of the building to facilitate child development center pick-up/drop off. All meters on the I Street side are restricted during morning and afternoon drop off/pick up times for use by parents. For security purposes, access to the child development center occurs only from a private entry for parents and child care center employees on the I Street side of the building.

The CalEPA Child Care Center is sponsored by CalEPA and its Boards, Departments, and Offices. The child care center is provided as a benefit for employees of CalEPA, who get priority for enrolling their children and reduced tuition costs. The child care center is overseen by a non-profit, self-supporting Board of Directors called Kid Ease Child Care Center, Inc.
